Thank You Rev. Thomas Brannon

We were sad in December 2021 to report the passing of Rev. Thomas Brannon, a longtime member and past president of the Religious Public Relations Council, predecessor of the RCC.  And even though he has gone on, he continues to bless the RCC.  Last year we learned he had remembered us in his will, and we have now received his generous bequest.

Such a wonderful man, and model religion communicator.  After 15 years as director of public relations for the South Carolina Baptist Convention, he directed communications for the Baptist General Convention of Texas from 1980 until his retirement.  He led a 13-member team that handled all aspects of communication for Texas Baptists. Over the years, he wrote many articles, mostly for denominational publications, and provided photos to accompany many of these. He won numerous awards for writing, design, photography and public relations programs.

We thank Rev. Brannon for his work, and remember him and his family in our prayers.
