Another Way to Interact
While RCC members have a great opportunity each month to learn during our professional development webinars, sometimes a more casual conversation might be what’s needed. There are many topics that lean toward more sharing info and best practices instead of the presentation-style session.
That’s why we offer Third Thursday Talk – casual Zoom meetings, designed as an interactive conversation among members with a designated topic each session.
Reserve your calendar for the third Thursday of each month, usually from 1 -2 pm ET. Zoom details will be shared here and through the monthly newsletter and social media.
Thursday, Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. ET – Insight into the DeRose-Hinkhouse Memorial Awards
(Yes, we realize Jan. 22 is really the fourth Thursday; however, we jumped over the first Thursday in order to give people more time to get into
the flow of the New Year.)
Trying to decide what to enter for the DeRose-Hinkhouse? Have a question about what needs to be submitted, or which category is relevant to your project?
Join RCC Board chair Ryan Koch and DeRose awards committee chair Rev. Brian Fesler for our January Talk as they lead an informal conversation about the inner workings of the award.
As a plus, you’ll also hear from several former DeRose recipients and learn their tips related to entering (and winning!). Thanks to RCC members Wesley Wolfbear Pinkham (who received a “best in class” DeRose for the specialty publication, Unchecked War, and one as category winner in photography – single work for Praying for Peace in Palestine) and Curtis Ramsey-Lucas (category winner in newsletters – series and topical – single work for The Christian Citizen Weekly and “best in class” for websites), who will share their insight and suggestions.
