“Faith Communications at the Crossroads” will bring religion communicators together April 15–17, 2027.
Registration is now open for the Religion Communicators Council’s 2027 Convention, “Faith Communications at the Crossroads,” taking place April 15–17, 2027, in Salt Lake City.
The three-day gathering will bring together religion communicators for workshops, plenary sessions, meaningful conversations and opportunities to connect with colleagues who share the unique opportunities and challenges of communicating faith in a rapidly changing world.
“Faith Communications at the Crossroads” reflects a pivotal moment for religion communicators. As technology, media and the ways people encounter information continue to change, communicators are navigating the intersection of faith and culture, tradition and innovation, and institutions and individuals.
The convention will provide an opportunity for participants to learn from one another, explore emerging challenges and possibilities, share ideas and strengthen professional relationships. It’s an opportunity to step away from our day-to-day work, learn from colleagues, consider where faith communications is headed and imagine what comes next—together.
A Place to Connect, Learn and Collaborate
The 2027 convention will offer a variety of opportunities for professional development and connection. Participants will be able to choose the registration option that best fits their schedules, including:
- Full Convention registration, providing access to the three-day gathering
- Single-day registration for those unable to attend the full convention
- Awards banquet registration for those wishing to participate in these special celebrations

The convention will also feature special opportunities made possible through partnerships with the Religion News Association and the International Association of Religious Journalists.
Attendees will also have a rare opportunity to tour the newly renovated Salt Lake Temple, which is opening to the public for the first time in more than a century.
Faith Communications at the Crossroads
The convention theme draws inspiration from Salt Lake City’s history as a place of convergence. The visual identity for the convention incorporates imagery connected to the Golden Spike, commemorating the completion of the nation’s first transcontinental railroad in Utah.
That historic moment of two railroads coming together offers a fitting metaphor for the work of religion communicators.
Today’s communicators work at many intersections, bringing together people, ideas and perspectives while finding new ways to communicate with clarity, compassion and purpose.
The convention logo reflects that spirit through its imagery of convergence and people coming together.
But the deeper invitation of the 2027 Convention goes beyond the design.
It is an invitation to come together.
At a time of rapid change in both the media landscape and the ways people engage with faith, Convention 2027 will create space for religion communicators to ask important questions, exchange ideas and consider how their work can meet the opportunities ahead.
