It is with great regret that the steering committee of Religion Communication Congress 2020 (RCCongress 2020) has canceled the forthcoming event, scheduled to be held in Arlington, Virginia on March 17-21.

The uncertain forecast concerning the spread of the coronavirus made it important for us to consider the well-being of speakers and participants. With the most recent classification as a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization, we heed the advice of medical experts to avoid participating in large group meetings. After enormous deliberation, the organizers have decided that the health and safety of participants is paramount.

Registrants and exhibitors will receive another message within days concerning the process to request refunds.

RCCongress 2020 remains committed to the vision and purpose of the Congress and hopes to be able to offer selected workshops and plenaries via webinar in the upcoming weeks. Please stay tuned for details as we consider how it could be possible to reschedule these important learning opportunities.

We thank you for your understanding.

The RCC leadership will be in touch with RCC members about future plans.
