Jacqueline Fuller, executive producer and host of Interfaith Connections in Washington, D.C., has been elected president of the Religion Communicators Council in a special board meeting after the resignation of the Rev. Donald “Bud” Heckman, Feb. 2. Heckman had been president since April 2017.

“The board is grateful for the service Bud rendered during his tenure,” said Kurt Gwartney, RCC treasurer.

Eric Shafer has been elected as vice president to fill the role formerly held by Ms. Fuller.

The 90-year-old Religion Communicators Council is a professional association whose mission is to provide opportunities for networking and professional development for people working in communications for a wide variety of faith-based organizations.

RCC recognizes and cultivates excellence in communications of religious faith and values, as well as advances the public’s religious literacy.
